Welcome to Stress Goal !

Like everyone else at some point in life, I too experienced quite a bit of stress for a few months. In my case though, I didn't realize that I was a victim of stress. I dropped from 150 lb to 125 lb within a few months. In the same period, I went through a multitude of illnesses. Pretty much every part of my body was affected. My Doctors checked me out throroughly, but couldn't find anything. Finally, my Primary Care Doctor put her foot down and said, "Your brain serotonin levels are low. You need to see a phsychotherapist for your and your family's sake."

I could never imagine that I would some day need the help of a professional to set my mind straight. But boy, am I glad that I fought that feeling and consulted the psychotherapist. I was given some medication to help calm down, the lowest dose. Over the consultations, I realized that I was leading a highly abnormal life leading to lot of stress on my body and mind. Apparently, my system tolerated it thus far, but not any longer. I gradually changed the course of my life. I felt my energy come back in 2 weeks and gained back 6 lbs in 8 weeks.

The whole perspective of life changed for me. In this website, I am documenting everything - how I got myself into this stressful situation and what changes I did to get out of it, and more importantly, stay out of it for the long term. As you continue reading, keep in mind two very important facts -
  • A healthy mind can only be in a healthy body. So, never ever neglect your health.
  • The mind is so powerful - you just can't imagine in what ways it works. Many physical symptoms may just be created by the mind.
